W2g and WICE

W2g is the abbreviation for "WICE 2nd generation". It is some kind of technical preview for the next generation of the backend of WICE. WICE is a powerful, web based, CRM system. Future versions of WICE will be built upon W2g.

This, however, does not mean that W2g is only a by-product. W2g will stay in a seperated development. The commercial usage of W2g within WICE ensures the development in the future.

Finally it should be noted that W2g and WICE are published under different licenses: W2g is published under the GNU GPL while WICE is licensed with a custom open source license. That's possible because you can build web applications with W2g without changing anything in it - all your customizations and custom code is kept in seperate directories.
